A message from The Dalai Lama Trust

Tashi Delek,

Greetings to all of you from the Dalai Lama Trust USA.

Kindness, forgiveness and unbiased compassion provide a foundation for the greater benefit of all mankind. Being mindful of these three aspects enables us to not only recognize our inner most state of happiness, but also transcend into greater happiness, which in turn brings a positive effect to our global community.

Guided by the vision of our Founder, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, the culture of compassionate giving and global responsibility lives on at The Dalai Lama Trust. We are dedicated to supporting His Holiness’ initiatives, and enthusiastic to fulfill His Holiness’ vision by supporting education, scientific inquiry and charitable causes worldwide. The Dalai Lama Trust supports the advancement and welfare of the Tibetan people, the culture and heritage of the ancient civilization of Tibet, and the promotion of the deep rooted values associated with its culture and people.

Today, I write to announce the forthcoming visit of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to the US in June 2017. His Holiness will be making a first stop in San Diego CA to deliver the Commencement Address to new Graduates at the University of California, San Diego. As a way to share this magnificent opportunity to hear His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the University is graciously making arrangements for a public event that will accommodate 25,000 people. The public event, a Public Talk on the topic of “Embracing the Beauty of Diversity in our World” will be held at the campus of the University of California San Diego, the morning of June 16, 2017.

Tickets for the Public Talk, June 16, will be available starting May 1, 2017 at 10:00 a, via the UC San Diego special website: Compassion2017.ucsd.edu. Tickets will be available on a first come first served basis. There is no charge for admission. However, a service charge of $15 per ticket and $10 parking fee do apply. Please see the website and online ticket outlet for details.

From San Diego (CA), His Holiness will travel to Albuquerque (NM), Minneapolis/St. Paul (MN), Syracuse (NY), and Boston (MA).

I invite you and your communities to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to see and hear His Holiness’ infinite wisdom. If you would be so kind, please share this information with your friends and family, as well as with fellow Tibetans in your respective areas. This promises to be another joyous and glorious event.
