Gaden Ngamchöe, Je Tsongkhapa Day
Celebrated every year on the 25th day of the 10th month of the Tibetan lunar calendar (12 DECEMBER, 2017). This special day commemorates the parinirvana (passing away) of the incomparable great master Je Tsongkhapa – founder of the Gelugpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Je Tsongkhapa was a highly realized meditator and teacher who authored the Lam Rim Chen Mo (Great Stages of the Path to Enlightenment) to help future practitioners achieve the fully enlightened state of Buddhahood, free from all obscurations, so they could help all sentient beings find this state of happiness and peace.
As already informed/ announced by Gyuto Foundation and Sera Jey Foundation, all community members and devotees are hereby advised to pay their homage to either one of the Buddhist Centers on this special day. There will be no special prayers arranged (today evening) at TANC since all the monks have to be at their respective centers. Thank you and sorry for the short notice.
