Sikyong Penpa Tsering’s First Visit to the Bay Area: June 17 & 18

We have some exciting news! Sikyong Penpa Tsering will be in San Francisco, California on 17th and 18th of June. It is a momentous visit as it is the first time Sikyong Penpa Tsering chok will greet the Tibetan community of Northern California since his election as the Sikyong of the Central Tibetan Administration in 2021.  Sikyong will arrive at San Francisco International Airport on Friday, June 17th at 7 in the morning and community members are encouraged to welcome him as he steps out of the airport.

Saturday, June 18th’s schedule as follows:

10 AM – 1 PM: Public Talk at JFK High School, Richmond

2 PM – 4 PM: Youth Interaction followed by Q/A at TANC

4 PM – 5 PM: Meet with Tibetan Religious Heads at TANC

5 PM – 9 PM: Gala Dinner at JFK High School, Richmond. Various artists will be performing.

There are three ticket pricing tiers for the Gala Dinner:

  • Sharing a table with Sikyong will cost $500 (SOLD OUT)
  • Tables near Sikyong are $200
  • Tables on the outer surrounding are $100.

Tickets for the Gala Dinner will be sold on Sunday, June 12 at TANC from 10 AM – 1 PM, in addition to purchasing through TANC committee members. All the proceeds will go to TANC.
