Join the Tibetan Association of Northern California

We encourage all Northern California Tibetans to become active, dues-paying members of TANC. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, TANC operates entirely on community donations and membership dues. Your support is vital, directly enabling our organization to fulfill its mission and serve the community at its highest capability.

Membership Dues & Application

  • New Membership: $25
  • Annual Renewal: $20
  • Payment Methods: In-person cash payments or checks made payable to the Tibetan Association of Northern California.

How to Apply or Renew

To apply for or renew your membership, please complete the TANC ID Form and attach a passport-sized photograph.

  • In-Person Registration: Visit Deshi Phuntsokling (ground floor) on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Membership Benefits & Rights

Holding a valid TANC Membership ID grants you the following rights and privileges:

  • Voting Rights: Members aged 18 and older hold the right to vote in Board of Directors elections.
  • Candidacy Eligibility: Members aged 18 and older who reside in Northern California are eligible to run for election to the Board of Directors.
  • Scholarships: Members may apply for TANC scholarships, subject to availability.
  • Community Engagement: Members enjoy opportunities to participate in various TANC activities and programs.
  • Event Discounts: Members enjoy reduced admission fees for TANC events.
  • Facility Rentals: Members qualify for discounted rental rates on TANC property and facilities.

Renew Your Membership Online

Go digital. Stay connected. Renew your TANC membership today to receive your new digital membership card!

We are transitioning to digital cards to make managing your membership easier than ever. Once your online renewal is processed, you will receive a confirmation email. From there, you can easily add your digital card directly to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet so you always have your TANC membership with you on your smartphone.

  • Please Note: Only existing memberships can be renewed online. All new memberships must be created and verified in-person with the Membership Coordinator.
