The Tibetan Association of Northern California (TANC) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1990, with its mission centered on preserving and promoting Tibetan language, culture, and spiritual traditions in the United States

Namchod Kyetsel


Namchod Kyetsel (“Garden of Intellects”), named by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, is TANC’s Tibetan Language School. Currently serving 204 students ages 2–18, the school goes beyond language instruction to preserve Tibetan culture, music, performing arts, and tradition.

Chatrel


The Green Book is issued to Tibetans who contribute to the Chatrel, serving as a key document for exercising rights granted by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) to exiled Tibetans. Tibetans in the USA and Canada can now pay online or via a dedicated app..

Community Center


The Deshi Phuntsogling is the official name of the facility. It is a community-based organization that provides a range of programs and services aimed at supporting residents, fostering community engagement, and offering resources for personal and professional development.
