Solidarity with Pawo Lobga Rangzen – 49th Day
We remember Pawo Lobga Rangzen, who died on July 2, 2026, after self-immolating outside the United Nations in New York in protest for Tibetan independence and the China’s Law on promoting Ethnic Unity and Progress passed on July 1. 2026 as a systematic effort to assimilate Tibetans and erode their distinct cultural identity and language.
His sacrifice has brought renewed attention to the Tibetan struggle for freedom, dignity, cultural identity, and the right of Tibetans to determine their own future.
We stand in solidarity with more than 170 self-immolated brother and sisters of Tibet.
We will continue to speak for Tibet.
